An Odd Weekend

Well folks, I'm finally fulfilling my dream of meeting famous people. Oh yes, Ryan Stiles and Knight Ranger were not enough for me, I had to go bigger. I had to meet....dundundun! The Ghost Hunters. Wooooooo. Where the fuck is Hugh Jackman when you need him anyway?

So I get a call from my god-brother (yeah that's right) and very very old friend Chris the other night, and he says he's partying with the Ghost Hunters (from the Sci Fi channel show where they try to disprove that ghosts exist). I've seen the show a few times, so I'm like "sure!" and promptly drag Andrew all the way down to Canadaigua. Sue was also kind enough to join us, after I called her and told her I swore it would be fun. Well when we got there the party was just breaking up, but I got to meet a few camera men and one of the guys on the show. I'm not sure, but I think he introduced himself to me as "Tango" and he proceeded to do magic tricks for the next 10 minutes. I did manage to get a few questions about the show in to him though, and told him I'd seen it and it was good, blah blah.

So Chris decides that we're going to some bars, and everyone knows I'm always up for the bars. We went to Pickering Pub first, where Chris' friend that I used to work with at the Cornell Experiment Station thought it would be okay to hit on me with my boyfriend standing right next to me. (not that Andrew even noticed....he was busy making sure all the girls were focused on him.....what an egotistical pair we make) Anyway we played some darts, I got a little tipsey and hit some people in the head with the darts instead of the board, yada yada, and we went to The Lumberyard. I saw my old buddy Jim and wondered why the HELL I ever had a crush on him, then we went out to the back balcony and Sue and I got to talk to Chris' sister Melissa who we haven't seen in years. It was a pretty fun night, although Chris got me going on the parents-getting divorced- kick I was to be on for the next few days....

Saturday I had a jolly good time travelling all over Rochester. I first went to Bed Bath and Beyond in Pittsford, then went to Park Leigh to get something for my cousin for her birthday. After missing my old neighborhood immensely I went to work for a few hours (I love making my own schedule) then went to the mall, wegmans, and walmart. Then I went home and baked a cake. It sounds very 1950ish I guess but the day was tiring. Andrew came home, I tried to convince him to see a movie with no avail, then we both fell asleep at midnight (dooooorks).

Sunday was my cousin Lauren's birthday party, so I took a quick trip to Geneva to celebrate. My grandma had a dinner, which consisted of gnocchi, shrimp, garlic bread, meatballs, sausage...Italian greatness like always. My dad wasn't around at all, which is odd, so I started up the parents getting divorced discussion with Lauren. She said she overheard at dinner one time, my other cousin talking about "oh I'd hate to be her, so hard to live like that" about my mom. Hmmmm. I know they're having problems, I wish they'd just talk to me. My parents are useless when it comes to being mature adults. They never even had a sex talk with me. They dont' really fight with each other though, my dad is just never home. He's probably having an affair or something. I told Andrew that I hope it's with a guy, that'd be really interesting. Having a gay dad would be awesome. He hunts and watches sports too much for that though. Lauren was also mad at her mom that night for not telling her that she had cancer, so we had a good discussion about our parents leaving us out of the loop on stuff.

Sunday night I raced back up to Rochester just in time to see Saw II (see-saw hahaha). I actually think it may have been better than the first, although the first had Cary Elwes who I love to death. I loved one of the twists at the end, didn't see it coming at all. Didn't really like the other twist, it was very unneccessary and only served to promote a sequel. I think it's still a must-see though, definitely a good film.

Well I was gonna post some pics from Steph's wedding but this post is really long and I haven't eaten or watched porn yet tonight so that's it for now.
